Win Kasey Kahne’s Lucky Hood on eBay!

Kasey Kahne, primary driver for the Ultimate Chargers, will be auctioning off the replica of his No. 9 Country Crock Dodge hood that he signed with fans at Charlotte’s Speed Street events over Memorial Day weekend.

The signed hood is being referred to as Kahne’s lucky hood since after thousands of fans signed the replica, Kahne made his first victory of the season at the CARQUEST Auto Parts 300!

The collector’s hood will be posted on eBay for a starting price of $500. Proceeds from the sale of the hood will be donated to America’s Second Harvest (ASH), the nation’s food bank network, to help provide meals to families in need.

Kahne is heading up the Race to Share campaign, which donates food through ASH. It’s part of a larger campaign, Spread the Sharing, sponsored by Shedd’s Spread Country Crock and America’s Second Harvest, which aims to raise one million meals¹ by Thanksgiving 2007 by collecting stories of sharing across the nation at www.spreadthesharing.com.

The 7-day auction starts on Wednesday, June 6 at 5pm and closes on June 13 and 5pm.

Today at 3:45pm-4:15pm primary driver of the No. 9 Ultimate Chargers Dodge will be making an appearance at the Unilever display at Speed Street in Charlotte . He will support fans signing the replica of the No. 9 Country Crock Dodge hood. After this weekend, the hood will be auctioned off on eBay with proceeds going to America’s Second Harvest to help raise meals for families in need.

Kasey Kahne Heads up Race to Share Campaign

As you may already know, Kasey Kahne is heading up the Race to Share campaign, which donates food to America’s Second Harvest by collecting canned goods at participating races. Race to Share is part of the Spread the Sharing campaign.
You can join Kasey Kahne and participate in the Race to Share and Spread the Sharing campaigns this weekend at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

Here are three ways you can participate:

1. Donate non-perishable food items at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway races on May 26th and 27th.

2. Sign a replica of the No. 9 Country Crock Dodge hood at the Unilever display at Speed Street in Charlotte May 24-26. The signed hood will be auctioned off on eBay and proceeds will be donated to America’s Second Harvest, the nation’s food bank network, to provide meals to hungry families.

Talladega This Weekend

That’s right, just three more days until the Ultimate Chargers race this weekend in Talladega.  And Shedd’s Spread Country Crock, as I mentioned, is launching its national ‘Spread the Sharing’ campaign this weekend by placing their logo on the hood of the No. 9 Country Crock Dodge. Talladega Race, April 28th

The Ultimate Chargers will be racing at the Talladega Superspeedway and Country Crock will be unveiling something big there for their ’sharing’ campaign. I will keep you posted on that as it unfolds.

Country Crock ‘Spread the Sharing’ Campaign

Spread the Sharing campaign is a new initiative launched by Country Crock to help support America’s Second Harvest who is helping people in the U.S. in need of food. I definitely encourage you to visit their website which has some interesting features including a forum where you can share your story. For each story told, Country Crock donates one meal to America’s Second Harvest. So far 5,318 meals have been donated so far.

Shedd’s Spread Country Crock is one of the nine Unilever sponsoring brands backing the Ultimate Chargers.
